Antiques In The Summertime

Itís peak summer time now and whilst the weather might not be perfect letís not forget the snow we had last winter! Weíve been quite busy these last few months and have added a range of new pieces to the Perfect Pieces website, here are just a few of them:

Lilac PenDelfin Rabbit Margot

Lilac PenDelfin Rabbit MargotAn unusual lilac PenDelfin rabbit Margot.

Margot was designed by the well-known PenDelfin founder Jean Walmsley Heap - this version of Margot was only made from c1956 until c1959. She is one of the earlier rabbits which can be seen in her design and in her labelling underneath - she has the early & collectable gold PenDelfin rectangular label to her base. Large Denby Pottery Shallow Bowl

This Denby bowl is from the Glynbourne range that the Derbyshire pottery produced. From the Denby pottery markings on its base it can be dated from the late 1970ís to early 1980ís - it certainly has that style to the design.

Antique & Collectors Fair News

If youíre out and about over the next month or so then hereís a list of some of the antique fairs that are on this summer:

This list is by no means comprehensive, itís always worth checking your local paper or listening to your local radio station for fairs and events on in your local area.

It's also wise to check with the fair organiser for opening times, admission fees & cancellations - they can sometimes change! Most fair organisers keep their websites up to date with important information so itís worth a quick glance before making any long journeys.

Best wishes,

Perfect Pieces
