ITEM T171 - Early Troika St Ives Marmalade Vase Decorated by Marilyn Pascoe

SOLD Aug 2009

An early Troika pottery Marmalade vase decorated by the well-known Marilyn Pascoe. Marilyn worked at the collectable Troika pottery from the late 1960's until 1974. This vase is from the earlier period when the pottery was still based in St Ives in Cornwall - it moved to Newlyn in 1970. This vase is decorated with a pattern typical of that era - coloured circles on a deep ground with a matching glazed top. This vase stands approximately 8½cm tall and is 8cm square.

On the base this Troika vase has the earlier black painted Troika pottery mark, Troika St Ives England. This Troika mark was in use up to 1970. Underneath this mark is the decorators mark MP for Marilyn Pascoe. Based on all this information this Troika vase dates from around the late 1960's to 1970.

Condition: Superb condition a lovely early Marmalade vase.
