ITEM P594 - PenDelfin Thin Neck Mother Rabbit Designed By Jean Walmsley Heap - Early Mother Rabbit

SOLD Mar 2012

PenDelfin thin neck Mother rabbit designed by Jean Walmsley Heap. The PenDelfin pottery produced a few verions of the mother rabbit - this is one of the earliest versions called the Thin Neck Mother rabbit and was only produced in c1956. As her name suggests she has a very thin neck and elongated ears which were prone to break during production hence why the model was revised with a fatter neck and shorter ears! This PenDelfin Mother rabbit is wearing a blue skirt with matching shawl.

On her base this PenDelfin rabbit has her green felt but no PenDelfin label.

Condition: She displays well for an early thin neck mother rabbit but has been repainted in places and had her foot repaired by someone. A lovely early PenDelfin rabbit.
