PenDelfin rabbit Uncle Soames designed by PenDelfin founder Jean Walmsley Heap. The PenDelfin Uncle Soames rabbit was produced by the PenDelfin pottery from c1959 until 1985. This example is an earlier version with big ears and thin soles on his feet. He stands approximately 19½cm tall and has the early PenDelfin butterfly label to his base. He is wearing black trousers with a very decorative peachy orange coloured waistcoat and matching cravat.
On his base this PenDelfin rabbit has his green felt and PenDelfin Studios gilt butterfly label. This label was used on PenDelfin rabbits in the late 1950's.
Condition: Excellent overall condition. He displays really nicely with only the odd paint flake and nibbles around the soles of his shoes and tail. A lovely early Uncle Soames.
