ITEM P589 - PenDelfin Stone Rabbit Bookends By Jean Walsmey Heap - Rare PenDelfin

SOLD Jan 2012

Early PenDelfin rabbit stone bookends designed by Jean Walmsley Heap. These are very early pieces of PenDelfin only produced by the PenDelfin pottery from 1958 until 1965. One bookend is a girl rabbit in a dress holding a carrot, the other is a boy rabbit wearing a waistcoat and trousers holding his hat. They are both wearing matching coloured outfits!

On their bases these PenDelfin bookends both have their original green felt. The girl bookend has her full PenDelfin butterfly gilt label whilst the boy bookend has the remains of his PenDelfin gilt butterfly label.

Condition: Good overall condition with some overall wear - illustrated in the photographs. No major damage. A lovely pair of PenDelfin bookends.
