ITEM P470 - Retired PenDelfin Picnic Basket Rabbit Designed By Jean Walmsley Heap

SOLD Oct 2010

Early and unusual PenDelfin Picnic Basket rabbit designed by PenDelfin founder Jean Walmsley Heap. This PenDelfin piece features a little PenDelfin rabbit stuck partly inside a picnic basket! It was only made by the PenDelfin pottery from 1966 until 1968 - making him one of the earlier and not often seen pieces of PenDelfin. This particular PenDelfin Picnic Basket rabbit is wearing pale green trousers and there is a red spotted table-cloth poking out of the basket.

This PenDelfin piece has his original green felt and PenDelfin Registered Design artist palette label to his base.

Condition: Excellent overall condition with only a few paint flakes. A lovely little PenDelfin piece.
