ITEM P400 - Old PenDelfin Uncle Soames With PenDelfin Butterfly Label Designed by Jean Walmsley Heap

SOLD Apr 2009

A lovely PenDelfin Uncle Soames designed by PenDelfin founder Jean Walmsley Heap. This is an older version of Uncle Soames with a more elongated neck and large ears! Uncle Soames was produced by the PenDelfin pottery from 1959 until he retired from production in 1985. This version is wearing a light blue coloured waistcoat with a matching stripey cravat. A perfect companion for Aunt Agatha!

On his base he has green felt and the early and collectable PenDelfin gilt butterfly label that is believed to have only been used by PenDelfin during the late 1950s.

Condition: Overall excellent condition. He has a chip repaired on his left ear but otherwsie he is a super example of an early Uncle Soames.
