ITEM P360 - Early PenDelfin Rabbit Uncle Soames Designed by Jean Walmsley Heap with Gilt Butterfly Label, c1959-1985

SOLD Oct 2008

An early example PenDelfin Uncle Soames rabbit with the more elongated neck and ears. This superb rabbit is wearing a dusky pink waistcoat and matching cravat. Uncle Soames was one of the early PenDelfin designs, designed by PenDelfin founder Jean Walsmely Heap. He was in production from 1959-1985 and stands approximately 7½" tall.

On his base he has his original PenDelfin green felt along with the early and collectable PenDelfin gilt butterfly pottery label. A really nice touch and indicates he is one of the earlier models of Uncle Soames.

Condition: Superb overall condition with just a small paint flake to the base of his tail. An excellent example of Uncle Soames with the early PenDelfin label. He would make a fabulous addition to any collection!
