A rare and stylish Alfred Read & Guy Sydenham designed Poole Pottery Freeform vase 702 / PLC. Shape 702 was the largest of the peanut / marrow shapes at 17" tall and PLC was one of the original Freeform patterns, designed by Alfred Read.
This example bears the 1955 - 1959 Poole Pottery backstamp along with the X mark of paintress Gwen Haskins. It is decorated in the Purbeck, Charcoal and French Grey colours of the PLC pattern, on a white ground, and stands 17" tall.
Excellent: No chips, cracks or restoration.
