New to our Troika Pottery section today is a lovely Troika Pottery Marmalade Vase decorated by the well-known Troika artist Penny Black.
This Marmalade vase is from the textured range that Troika made and has abstract designs on all sides with a rather interesting pattern on one of the sides – a stick-man type design. It is finished off on top with a deep blue glazed top.
The decorator of this particular Troika pottery vase is Penny Black. Penny started working at the pottery when they were based in St. Ives in Cornwall, England and moved with the pottery to its Newlyn base in 1970. She continued working there up until she left in 1976.
