This coming Thursday & Friday, 9th to 10th June 2011, is the large Newark IACF International Antique & Collectors Fair.
This antique fair is held at the Newark & Nottinghamshire Showground right next to the A1 making access incredibly simple and easy. It can attract upto 4,000 stands with dealers and buyers from all over the UK and overseas and claims to be the largest event of its kind in Europe.
The fair opens at 9am on Thursday 9th June 2011 when admission is £20 per person – this ticket does allow entry on the Friday as well. Friday entry is from 8am when admission is reduced to £5 per person.
I advise you to wear very comfy shoes and if it looks grey take a raincoat or waterproof as there’s lots of walking between buildings and around outside stalls at this antique fair! You’ll usually find a huge range of items on sale including pottery, china, glass, jewellery, militaria, kitchenalia, furniture, paintings, books, silver, Art Deco items, Art Nouveau collectables – the list is endless!
Visit the organiser’s website at www.iacf.co.uk for full details.
