A couple of new additions to the Perfect Pieces Troika pottery section are these very interesting Troika pottery Marmalade vases:
The Troika marmalade vase is a textured piece of Troika pottery that is finished off with a shouldered top that is glazed in a coordinating colour. The vases were decorated in a range of colours and designs.
The two pictured above are very nice examples – the first Marmalade vase pictured has one side with a large letter T on it (T for Troika!). This has been coloured in a vivid blue really making it stand out – making it a lovely piece for a collection. This one has been decorated by Anne Lewis who worked at the pottery from c1966-1972.
The second Troika Marmalade pictured has several sides with interesting designs – one has a mushroom pattern, one has an apple pattern and another has the stylised T pattern! This Troika Marmalade vase was decorated by Linda Taylor who worked at the pottery in the early 1970’s.
