Bank Holiday Antique Fairs

If you’re wanting to head out this Bank Holiday weekend then here are just a few Antique & Collectors fairs that are scheduled to take place over this weekend:

Antique & Collectbale Fairs In North Yorkshire

We recently received details of two new Antique & Collectors fairs happening in North Yorkshire – a beautiful part of the country!

Organisers AMK-Events have scheduled two new antique fairs in North Yorkshire for 2013 so be sure to check them out if you’re in the area – details below:

Thirsk Auction Mart, Blakey Lane, Thirsk, North Yorkshire, YO7 3AB. This Antique & Collectors Fair will open at 9.30am and close at 3.30pm. It is scheduled to take place on 23rd March 2013, 15th June 2013, 19th October 2013 & 23rd November 2013.

Lightwater Valley, North Stainly, Ripon, North Yorkshire, HG4 3HT. This Antique & Collectors Fair will open at 10am and close at 4pm. It is scheduled to take place on 2nd March 2013, 4th May 2013 & 7th December 2013.

Lightwater Valley, North Stainly, Ripon, North Yorkshire, HG4 3HT. This is a Vintage Wedding Fair that will open at 10am and close at 4pm. It is scheduled to take place on 25th May 2013.

MONDAY 9TH JULY 2012 – Swinderby IACF International Antique & Collectors Fair

This coming Monday, 9th July 2012, is the Swinderby IACF International Antique & Collectors Fair based at RAF Swinderby, near Lincoln.

This antique fair is organised by IACF – International Antique & Collectors Fairs, and is a ONE DAY antique fair! It is a large antique fair with the capacity for over 600 stalls. You’ll usually find a good mix of antiques, collectables, vintage, furniture, jewellery and textiles to name a few.

It’s an early morning fair with the gates opening at 8am to stallholders and to visitors! Admission is reduced at 10am. Visit the organiser’s website at www.iacf.co.uk for full details.

Before travelling to any Antique Fair be sure to check with the organiser it’s still scheduled to go ahead – with the British weather you never know when an event may be cancelled!

Kedleston Hall Antiques in the Park, 6th – 8th July 2012

This coming weekend starting on Friday 6th July 2012 is the three-day Antiques In The Park antique fair held at Kedleston Hall in Derbyshire. This is usually a large antique fair with stalls both in marquees and outside on the grass. It’s a stunning setting especially if the sun is out!

There is ample free parking on-site and there is usually a good turn out of both stall holders and visitors especially if it’s dry! You’ll find most things from jewellery, ceramics, pottery, glass, furniture to even sometimes old telephones! Visit the organiser’s website at www.jaguarfairs.com for full details.

We’ve just received details of an Antique Fair for 2012 based in North Yorkshire. This antique fair takes place at the Auction Mart, Blakey Lane, Thirsk, North Yorkshire, YO7 3AB. Here are the dates:

24th March 2012
16th June 2012
20th October 2012
24th November 2012

We’ve been informed that it opens at 9.30am until 3.30pm. There is a large free car park and it is said to be wheelchair friendly.

Derby University Antiques Fair – 17th & 18th December 2011

This coming weekend, Saturday 17th & Sunday 18th December 2011, it’s time for the final Derby University Antiques Fair of 2011.

This antiques fair is organised by Jaguar Fairs and takes place within a building at Derby University. It’s very easy to find and is often well signposted. The fair can hold up to 200 stalls and there are good facilities on site including a very spacious cafe!

The fair opens at 9am on Saturday, 17th December 2011, and on Sunday, 18th December 2011, an hour later at 10am. It closes both days at 4.30pm. Admission throughout the weekend is £4 for adults , £3 for senior citizens and accompanied under 16’s are free.

There’s usually a good mix of items on sale from pictures, alot of jewellery, pottery, ceramics, glass, other collectables and some newer collectables. There is good parking and being indoor means you don’t have to think about what the weather will be like!

Newark IACF International Antiques & Collectors Fair – 1st & 2nd December 2011

This coming Thursday, 1st December 2011, is the start of the two day Newark IACF International Antiques & Collectors Fair. This antiques fair is at the Newark & Nottinghamshire Showground, near Newark very close to the A1 – so perfect for travelling there!

This Antiques Fair claims to be the largest of its kind in Europe and can hold up to 4,000 stands. It opens on Thursday, 1st December 2011, at 8am and admission is £20 per person all day. Once again the fair will open on the Friday, 2nd December 2011, at 8am when admission is reduced to £5 per person. Accompanied under 16’s are admitted free and dogs are welcome but must be kept on leads.

The organiser now also runs a courtesy coach from Newark Northgate Station throughout the duration of the antique fair, with a timetable of coaches available on IACF’s website. Visit the organiser’s website at www.iacf.co.uk for full details.

Wetherby Racecourse Antiques Fair – 19th & 20th November 2011

This coming weekend, Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th November 2011, is the last Great Wetherby Racecourse Antiques Fair in 2011. This two day antiques fair is organised by Jaguar fairs who also organise Derby University Antiques Fair and Kedleston Antiques In The Park.

This antique fair is based within and around the new exhibition centre and grandstand at Wetherby Racecourse. The racecourse is handily located and very easy to find. The fair opens to trade at 8am when admission for adults is £4. This reduces at 9am when admission is £3. There is ample free parking at the site and it is generally quite easy to walk around and shelter if it rains!

Wetherby Racecourse Antiques Fair, 30th & 31st July 2011

This weekend, Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st July 2011, is the great Wetherby Racecourse Antiques Fair organised by Jaguar Fairs.

This antiques fair is located within the grounds of Wetherby Racecourse just outside of Wetherby near the A1. You’ll find stalls within the new Exhibition Centre, in the main Grandstand and surrounding the buildings outside.

The fair opens on Saturday 30th July 2011 at 8am when admission is £4 per person. From 9am admission is reduced to £3 for the rest of the weekend. It opens again at 9am on Sunday 31st July with a closing time of 5pm each day.

There’s usually a general mix of antiques & collectables on sale with small items of furniture and other memorabilia too. If it’s a nice sunny day it’s usually quite busy with outside stalls so take comfy shoes for walking around!

Antiques In The Park @ Kedleston Hall, 8th – 10th July 2011

Starting this Friday, 8th July 2011, is the three day Antiques In The Park antiques event at Kedleston Hall in Derbyshire. This antique fair runs throughout the weekend and is organised by Jaguar Fairs.

This is a large antiques fair located in marquees and on grass outside on the National Trust Parkland at Kedleston Hall in Derbyshire. There are on-site toilets, a cafe and ample free parking for the event.

The antique fair opens at 8am until 12 noon on Friday 8th July 2011 when admission is £7 per person. From 12 noon on Friday admission is then reduced to £5 per person for the rest of the weekend. On Saturday 9th July 2011 and Sunday 10th July 2011 the fair opens at 9am.

This antique fair is based on grass so make sure you wear sensible & comfortable shoes and if it looks like rain be sure to take a raincoat!
