The Troika Pottery started off in St Ives in Cornwall, England in 1963. The pottery then moved from St Ives to a new base in Newlyn in 1970. For collectors of the early St Ives pieces we have a wide selection of pieces for sale, here’s a small selection:

The first Troika vase pictured here is an early smooth glazed spill vase from the Troika pottery. This vase is completely glazed with the outside being in a vibrant blue colour and the inside a bright white gloss. It has the stamped Troika St Ives pottery mark on its base dating. Troika Pottery Lamp Base
This is called a Troika medium wheel lamp base as the shape is based on the Troika medium wheel vase. It has been decorated in a very striking blue colour with the design picked out in contrasting colours really drawing your eye to the piece. Troika Wheel Vase By Jane Fitzgerald
This Troika pottery wheel vase has been decorated by Jane Fitzgerald. Jane worked at the Cornish pottery when it was based in Newlyn in Cornwall, England, she was there from c1976 until 1983.
This particular Troika vase has an apple design on one side picked out in tones of green, cream and brown – quite unusual! It stands approximately 4½” tall and is a super example.

A new addition to the Perfect Pieces Troika pottery section is this unusual Troika Pottery Marmalade vase with a face design on one side:

This Troika vase has been decorated by Linda Hazel who worked at Troika during the 1970′s when it was located in Newlyn in Cornwall, England. It has a brown oatmeal base and is finished with a deep blue glazed rounded top. With abstract decoration to each side there is something different to look at from all angles.
The Troika Marmalade vases are popular pieces – they are affordable to most collectors, are a nice mix of Troika’s textured and glazed wares, and are a practical shape for use if you want to! The latest addition to the Perfect Pieces Troika Pottery section is an extremely rare and collectable Troika pottery GIANT wheel vase!

This massive Troika vase stands approximately 13″ tall and is the largest of the wheel vase range produced by the Troika pottery. Decorated by Troika decorator Avril Bennet this rare and very impressive Troika vase dates c1973-1979.
This vase is not only impressive in size but in decoration too – it has an interesting pattern on one side, the body design. Picked out in greeny blues, oranges and creams the design really stands out against the oatmeal brown base.

Two new pieces of Troika pottery to the Perfect Pieces Troika Pottery section are these Troika Coffin vases both decorated by the same Troika decorator – Simone Kilburn:


Simone Kilburn only worked at the Cornish pottery for a short time – from around 1975 until 1977.
The Troika Coffin on the left has been coloured all over in a green wash. On the front and back it has the design picked out in contrasting cream colour and on one of the sides it has the collectable stick-man design – click here to view pictures of this Troika vase.
The Troika Coffin vase on the right is very different in colour. This Troika vase has been decorated with a bright vivid blue base with the collectable cross motif on the front picked out in contrasting dark colours – click here to view further pictures of this Troika Coffin vase.

The latest addition to the Perfect Pieces Troika pottery section is this early Troika St Ives pottery small wheel vase:

The Cornish pottery Troika originally started out based in St Ives in Cornwall, England then around 1970 moved to Newlyn in Cornwall. This particular Wheel vase dates to pre-1970 before it had moved to Newlyn. It has the early black painted Troika pottery mark, Troika St Ives England, on its base.
There were a range of sizes made in this wheel shape by the pottery – this is called the small wheel vase and measures approximately 12cm in diameter.

Coming soon to our Troika pottery section will be a stunning and extremely rare GIANT Troika pottery wheel vase.
We’ve recently acquired this superb piece and will be listing it for sale soon. It features the collectable body parts design and was decorated by Jane Fitzgerald, dating it to around 1976 to 1983.
The Troika pottery made the popular wheel vase in five sizes – small, medium, large, huge and giant! They range in size from approximately 4.5″ tall to a massive 13″ tall – this being the giant.


Small Troika wheel vase & Medium Troika wheel vase
The giant wheel vase measures approximately 13″ tall and just over 13″ wide. Due to its size it wasn’t made in huge numbers and is rarely seen on the secondary market.
