Troika Vase By Louise Jinks
This Troika vase decorated by Louise Jinks is called a rectangular vase and this example features an interesting horseshoe design on one side – a very eye catching feature.
The Troika pottery was only in operation from 1963 until 1983 – a short 20 year period. In this time it was based in St Ives in Cornwall until 1970 then moved to Newlyn in Cornwall where it stayed until it closed down in 1983.

Troika Pottery Spice Vase by Alison Brigden
This is a Troika textured ware piece with the body being of rough texture and the top a deep brown glaze. Dating from when the pottery was based in Newlyn in Cornwall England this particular Troika vase has been decorated by Alison Brigden who worked as a decorator at Troika from 1977 until 1983.

Troika Pottery Lamp Base
This is called a Troika medium wheel lamp base as the shape is based on the Troika medium wheel vase. It has been decorated in a very striking blue colour with the design picked out in contrasting colours really drawing your eye to the piece. The Troika Coffin vase belongs to the textured range the Cornish pottery designed being of a textured design. It is called a Coffin vase due to its shape – being like a coffin! This vase has been decorated in an oatmeal colour with the striking abstract decoration picked out in bright greens and creams.

Troika Cube Vase – Linda Hazel
Decorated by Linda Hazel this Troika Pottery vase dates from the early 1970′s when the pottery was based in Newlyn in Cornwall, England. It is a textured range piece with all four sides featuring an abstract design picked out in contrasting colours. This Troika Cube vase is fully glazed in white on the inside and has the painted Troika pottery mark on its base.

Troika Cube By Alison Brigden
This Troika vase decorated by Alison Brigden dates from 1977 – 1983. The bright blue sections of decoration really stand out against the oatmeal brown base of the vase.
The Troika Cube vase is called a cube vase because of just that – it is shaped like a cube! With a full square open top it can not only be a decorative item but a functional piece if you choose to use it as well!

Troika Pottery Louise Jinks Marmalade Vase
This Troika vase is heavily coloured with a vivid blue base which is quite popular with some collectors as the colouring really stands out against the browns and abstract decorations seen on many Troika pieces. Decorated by Louise Jinks this Troika vase this particular vase can be dated to the end of the 1970′s, c1976-1981.
The Troika Marmalade vase is a square vase in shape finished with a smooth glazed top – people often use this Troika vase shape as a pen pot!

Example of a Troika Pottery vase – a Troika Marmalade Vase
This popular Cornish pottery first started producing pottery in c1963 and unfortunately only lasted for 20 years closing down in 1983. During this time it moved from its original location in St Ives to Newlyn in Cornwall in c1970.
A range of people worked at the pottery over the years so you’ll often find different decorator marks on the base – a particular decorator is often a popular theme of collecting Troika!
The pottery produced a whole range of different shapes from smaller pieces such as Marmalade and Cube vases, medium pieces like the Spice vase or Rectangular vase to large pieces like the Double base vase, a range of plaques and a whole range of different style lamp bases. There really is a shape for everyone!

Troika Coffin Vase
This Troika vase is from the textured range and is called a Coffin vase – due to its shape! Decorated by Penny Black with an oatmeal brown base the cross motif on the front is enhanced in colours of blues and deep browns.
This Troika vase dates from when the pottery was based in Newlyn in Cornwall, England. It moved to Newlyn c1970 from St Ives and remained there until it closed in c1983.
