Starting this Friday, 20th March 2009, is the great Peterborough Festival of Antiques at the East of England showground.

This large antique event only happens twice a year and can attract upto 1700 stallholders and thousands of visitors. With stalls inside and outside and dealers from all over the UK and some from Europe there is always a wide range of stock on offer.

There is ample free parking and plenty of food vans of all sorts from burgers and chips to pasties and sausage rolls. Organised by Bob Evans Fairs it’s certainly worth a walk around if you’re in the Peterborough area.

The fair opens to the general public on Friday 20th March at 10am till 4.30pm, and reopens on Saturday from 9am until 4.30pm. Public entrance is £5 on both days. Do remember if you go late on Saturday that it’s possible that some stallholders may be packing up early or may even have left. On Friday 3rd of October 2008 it will be time for the two day Peterborough Festival of Antiques fair run by Bob Evans Fairs.

This two day antique fair running from Friday till Saturday is held at the East of England Showground in Peterborough and only happens twice a year. Trade entry on Friday is £8 from 7am till 10am. The fair opens to the public on Friday at 10am till 4.30pm, reopening on Saturday at 9am until 4.30pm. Public entry costs £4.

This is usually a decent fair with lots of stallholders offering a wide range of goods. As well of plenty of outdoor stalls there are several hard-standing buildings and marquees so there is always somewhere to shelter from the rain should it get a little wet!

Do remember it’s always wise to check that a fair hasn’t been cancelled before you travel any distance. Organisers usually publish their contact details on their website or along the publication detail so don’t be afraid to give them a call to check.
