Rare PenDelfin Dungaree Father Rabbit For Sale

The latest addition to the Perfect Pieces PenDelfin rabbit section is this large, cute and very early PenDelfin Dungaree Father rabbit!

The PenDelfin Dungaree Father rabbit was designed by the PenDelfin founder Jean Walmsley Heap. He is the first Father rabbit to have been introduced into the PenDelfin rabbit family and was only produced by PenDelfin from 1955 until 1960 when he was remodelled into the PenDelfin Kipper Tie Father.

On his base this example of Dungaree father has his green PenDelfin felt and early PenDelfin gilt butterfly label. He stands wearing Dungaree trousers with large flapping ears and the unmistakable face of the early PenDelfin rabbits.

Rare PenDelfin Thin Neck Mother With Old PenDelfin Butterfly Label

New to the Perfect Pieces PenDelfin rabbit section is this lovely PenDelfin Thin Neck Mother rabbit with the early gilt butterfly PenDelfin Studios label to her base.

The Thin Neck Mother is the rarest and oldest of the PenDelfin Mother rabbits. It was only made for a short time in 1956, as its thin neck and large ears made it a little top heavy and prone to breakage during manufacture. As a result, the design was remodelled shortly after its introduction to have a thicker neck, a characteristic that distinguishes later Mother rabbits.

This lovely version of the thin neck mother is wearing a blue skirt and matching shawl. On her base she has the collectable and early PenDelfin Studios butterfly label. This PenDelfin pottery label was only used by the factory from c1956-1960 so is only found on the old pieces of PenDelfin.

The PenDelfin Thin Neck Mother is a perfect companion for the PenDelfin Dungaree Father – the first father rabbit introduced as well!
