Troika Pottery is one of our specialist areas and we often have a wide range of pieces to choose from. The pottery which only operated for around 20 years has become hugely collectable and as a result you should be aware that there are pieces out there that are not true Troika pottery pieces. People often ask what do you mean “not true Troika Pottery”, what we mean is pieces that are not originally and 100% made by the pottery when it was open from c1963 until c1983. These can be pieces that have had “Troika” written on the bottom of them or even white wares from the pottery that have been painted by somebody else. Our advice is that you should always buy from a reputable place and from someone you can trust!

A recent addition to the Perfect Pieces Troika Pottery section just in time for your Christmas shopping is this super Troika Pottery Coffin shaped vase:

Troika Coffin Vase

This Troika vase is from the textured range and is called a Coffin vase – due to its shape! Decorated  by Penny Black with an oatmeal brown base the cross motif on the front is enhanced in colours of blues and deep browns.

This Troika vase dates from when the pottery was based in Newlyn in Cornwall, England. It moved to Newlyn c1970 from St Ives and remained there until it closed in c1983.

The latest addition to the Perfect Pieces Troika Pottery section is this unusual Troika Pottery Slab vase with the design in relief on one side:

Troika Slab Vase – Marilyn Pascoe

This particular Troika slab vase has blue glazed sides with a textured front and back. It has been decorated by Marilyn Pascoe. Marilyn started work at the Cornish pottery in the late 1960′s when it was based in Newlyn in Cornwall. The pottery moved to  Newlyn in Cornwall in 1970 and Marilyn remained working at it until c1974. This vase has the black painted pottery mark, Troika Cornwall England, on its base so in combination with when Marilyn Pascoe worked there we can date this Troika vase to c1970-1974.

Both these particular PenDelfin pieces where designed by Doreen Noel Roberts and have long since been retired from production. The PenDelfin Christmas Scene was originally only made in a limited number of 2000 in c1985-1986, whilst the PenDelfin Bath Tub was produced by PenDelfin many years ago in 1967 until only 1975.

Troika Pottery Wheel Lamp Base

This particular Troika lampbase has been decorated by Jane Fitzgerald and dates from when the pottery was based in Newlyn in Cornwall, England. It is a medium sized wheel lamp base with decoration on both sides – the front having an attractive sun motif picked out in cream and yellow.

This is a textured Troika Cube vase decorated by Anne Lewis. The cube vase produced by the Troika pottery is a popular shape and can be found with many different designs and abstract patterns. This particular Troika vase has a helmet design on one side that has been picked out in the decoration in a vivid blue – really highlighting the design.

The latest addition to the Perfect Pieces PenDelfin Rabbit section is this highly collectible PenDelfin Christmas Scene with Christmas dressed rabbits!

PenDelfin Christmas Scene With Rabbits

The PenDelfin Christmas Scene was designed by the well-known Doreen Noel Roberts. It was made in a limited number of ONLY 2000 sets and was originally for the Canadian & US markets only in c1985-1986.

This PenDelfin scene comprises of a base stand called the Lantern Stand with a black lantern lit up for the rabbits to sing under, a little cottage called Cobble Cottage with three festive lanterns hanging on the front and three Christmas themed PenDelfin rabbits dressed out in red and green – Clanger, Solo and Jingle, all happily singing their Christmas tunes  under the lantern.
