Derby University Antiques Fair – 17th & 18th December 2011

This coming weekend, Saturday 17th & Sunday 18th December 2011, it’s time for the final Derby University Antiques Fair of 2011.

This antiques fair is organised by Jaguar Fairs and takes place within a building at Derby University. It’s very easy to find and is often well signposted. The fair can hold up to 200 stalls and there are good facilities on site including a very spacious cafe!

The fair opens at 9am on Saturday, 17th December 2011, and on Sunday, 18th December 2011, an hour later at 10am. It closes both days at 4.30pm. Admission throughout the weekend is £4 for adults , £3 for senior citizens and accompanied under 16′s are free.

There’s usually a good mix of items on sale from pictures, alot of jewellery, pottery, ceramics, glass, other collectables and some newer collectables. There is good parking and being indoor means you don’t have to think about what the weather will be like!

Wetherby Racecourse Antiques Fair – 19th & 20th November 2011

This coming weekend, Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th November 2011, is the last Great Wetherby Racecourse Antiques Fair in 2011. This two day antiques fair is organised by Jaguar fairs who also organise Derby University Antiques Fair and Kedleston Antiques In The Park.

This antique fair is based within and around the new exhibition centre and grandstand at Wetherby Racecourse. The racecourse is handily located and very easy to find. The fair opens to trade at 8am when admission for adults is £4. This reduces at 9am when admission is £3. There is ample free parking at the site and it is generally quite easy to walk around and shelter if it rains!

Antiques In The Park @ Kedleston Hall, 8th – 10th July 2011

Starting this Friday, 8th July 2011, is the three day Antiques In The Park antiques event at Kedleston Hall in Derbyshire. This antique fair runs throughout the weekend and is organised by Jaguar Fairs.

This is a large antiques fair located in marquees and on grass outside on the National Trust Parkland at Kedleston Hall in Derbyshire. There are on-site toilets, a cafe and ample free parking for the event.

The antique fair opens at 8am until 12 noon on Friday 8th July 2011 when admission is £7 per person. From 12 noon on Friday admission is then reduced to £5 per person for the rest of the weekend. On Saturday 9th July 2011 and Sunday 10th July 2011 the fair opens at 9am.

This antique fair is based on grass so make sure you wear sensible & comfortable shoes and if it looks like rain be sure to take a raincoat! You’ll find a whole mix of antiques and collectables for sale with furniture and larger items as well.

Wetherby Racecourse Antiques Fair, June 25th and 26th 2011

This weekend, Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th June 2011, it’s the great Wetherby Racecourse Antiques Fair organised by Jaguar Fairs.

This fair takes place at Wetherby Racecourse inside the new Exhibition Centre and the main Grandstand. If it’s a nice day you’ll also find lots of outdoor stalls as well – some even on bad weather days!

This antique fair opens on Saturday 25th June 2011 at 8am to trade when admission is £4 per person. Admission is then reduced to £3 per person from 9am for the rest of the weekend.

There’s usually a mixed selection of items on sale at this fair. If it’s nice weather the turn-out for outdoor stalls is usually good and it’s pleasant to wander around. There are good facilities and ample free parking on-site.

Stafford Bingley Hall Antiques Fair, 17th-19th June 2011

Starting this Friday, 17th June 2011, is the three day Stafford Bingley Hall Antiques Fair organised by Bowman Antiques Fairs.

This antique fair is located within Bingley Hall at the Staffordshire County Showground in the heart of England! It is fairly easy to reach by road and there are good facilities when you arrive on-site including a cafe and ample free parking.

The fair opens to trade on Friday 17th June 2011 at 8.30am till 10am when admission is £6 per person. Public admission is then from 10am each day when admission is £5 per person.

This is usually a fairly large antique fair with a good turnout of stallholders and visitors. There’s generally a good mix of antiques and collectibles on sale and the quality of dealer’s stock is generally quite good.

Summer Antique Fairs – Perfect For A Sunny Weekend Wandering

With the good weather we’ve been having these past few months outdoor Antique & Collectable Fairs and Car Boots are certainly the places to go for a wander around on a sunny weekend!

Throughout the UK you’ll find a host of Antique Fairs taking place this summer. Whilst the main section of the fair will often be within a building or marquee quite often outdoor stalls will be bustling and are always worth a wander around.

All Antique Fairs nowadays tend to have good public facilities including usually a cafe or places to buy food & drink, toilets and car parking.

Newark IACF International Antique & Collectors Fair, 9th & 10th June 2011

This coming Thursday & Friday, 9th to 10th June 2011, is the large Newark IACF International Antique & Collectors Fair.

This antique fair is held at the Newark & Nottinghamshire Showground right next to the A1 making access incredibly simple and easy. It can attract upto 4,000 stands with dealers and buyers from all over the UK and overseas and claims to be the largest event of its kind in Europe.

The fair opens at 9am on Thursday 9th June 2011 when admission is £20 per person – this ticket does allow entry on the Friday as well. Friday entry is from 8am when admission is reduced to £5 per person.

I advise you to wear very comfy shoes and if it looks grey take a raincoat or waterproof as there’s lots of walking between buildings and around outside stalls at this antique fair! You’ll usually find a huge range of items on sale including pottery, china, glass, jewellery, militaria, kitchenalia, furniture, paintings, books, silver, Art Deco items, Art Nouveau collectables – the list is endless!

Great Wetherby Racecourse Antiques Fair – 28th, 29th & 30th May 2011

This coming bank holiday weekend, from Saturday 28th until Monday 30th May 2011, is the Great Wetherby Racecourse Antiques Fair.

This antiques event is run by Jaguar Fairs and is located at Wetherby Racecourse just outside of Wetherby in Yorkshire. Stalls are in the new Exhibition Centre, the Grandstand and if it’s good weather plenty outside as well! The fair opens on the Saturday at 8am to trade when admission is £4 per adult, reducing to £3 from 9am for the rest of the weekend. It closes at 5pm every day. Wetherby Racecourse is located just off the A1 so access is easy, and there is ample free parking on site.

There is usually a wide mix of items on sale at this fair ranging from pottery, glass, jewellery to other collectables and memorabilia.

Yorkshire Antiques & Art Fair – 21st & 22nd May 2011

This coming weekend, Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd May 2011 is the Yorkshire Antiques And Art Fair.

This antiques event is run by Bowman Antiques Fairs and is located in the Yorkshire Event Centre at the Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate. It opens at 10am every day closing at 5pm. Admission is £5 for adults throughout the weekend and it claims to have upto 350 stalls of antiques, art, collectables, curio’s, vintage and retro.

The Yorkshire Showground is located in the south-east corner of Harrogate so is relatively easy to navigate to, and Harrogate is a lovely town to have a wander around with a few antique shops as well.

Doncaster Racecourse Antiques Fair – 24th & 25th April 2011

If you’re looking for somewhere to head out to this Easter weekend then why not pay Doncaster Racecourse Antiques Fair a visit? Starting this Easter Sunday, 24th April 2011, is the popular two-day event at Doncaster Racecourse.

Organised by Dualco Promotions this antique fair is usually well attended by both stall holders and public with a wide range of items on offer from silver, jewellery, ceramics, pottery and glass to small items of furniture and other collectable memorabilia.

This antique fair runs from Easter Sunday, the 24th April, through to Easter Monday the 25th April 2011. It opens at 9.30am until 4.30pm both days. Admission is currently £3.50 for adults.
