Stafford Bingley Hall Antiques Fair, 2nd-4th October 2009

Starting this Friday, 2nd October 2009, is the three day antiques fair based at Bingley Hall at the Staffordshire County Showground.

This is a popular and well established indoor antiques fair with a wide selection of good quality antiques and collectables including numerous furniture stands.

There are good facilities on-site with refreshments, cash machine, payphones, toilets and plenty of free parking at the showground. Public entrance is from 10am each day and admission for adults is £5 each day (trade entrance allows entrance slightly earlier and is £6 per person).

It is usually well signposted so it’s pretty easy to find. If you do pay this antique fair a visit then let us know what it was like. Normally it’s well attended by stall holders and the public but it’s always good to keep upto date on how antique fairs are fairing!

Doncaster Racecourse Antiques Fair, Sunday 25th January 2009

This Sunday, the 25th January 2009, is Dualco Promotions Doncaster Racecourse Antiques & Collectors Fair. So if you’re in the Doncaster area it’s certainly worth a visit.

With up-to 380 stalls to wander around and browse it’s often an interesting fair to visit. There’s usually a good mix of collectibles and antiques ranging from glass, figurines and pottery to jewellery and small items of furniture.

The fair opens to the public at 9.30am on Sunday 25th January 2009 and closes at 4.30pm. Public entry is £3 for adults and I believe early Trade entry is free which really encourages people to visit. There is ample parking and the hall has good facilities.

CANCELLED – Antiques in the Park, Kedleston Hall 12th-14th September 2008

Just in case any of you out there were planning to take a ride over to Kedleston Hall this weekend to browse the Jaguar Fairs Antiques In The Park Antique Fair it has been cancelled!

Due to the extremely poor weather we have been having of late the area where the marquees and stalls normally go has obviosuly become far too waterlogged and the event has now been called off.

Alexandra Palace Antique Fair

If you’re wondering where you can head this weekend and you’re local to London you could always try the Alexandra Palace Antiques Fair, which is on this Sunday 7th September 2008.

This fair used to be run by Pig & Whistle Promotions but since the start of 2008 has been organised by Nelson Fairs. Alexandra Palace is a mere 5 miles outside London and Nelson Fairs claim that over 600 separate dealers stand at the Antique Fair. Full details of the fair can be found on their website at:

http://www.nelsonfairs.com/

However, here’s a summary (all details obtained from their website)! The fair opens to Trade buyers at 7am and to the public at 9am. The fair closes at 5pm. For this Sunday, 7th September 2008, Trade entry is £10 and public entry is £5.

As with all Antique Fairs it’s always a good idea to check with the organiser that it is actually still on – some fairs do get cancelled and it’s far better to give them a call to check than to drive all the way there to discovered a locked up building.

If you do go, do drop us a line and let us know how it was – what was the stock like? Where there plenty of dealers and buyers there? And most importantly did it have that good fair buzz about it?!
