Peterborough Festival Of Antiques This Weekend 26th & 27th March 2010

This Friday it’s time for the great two-day Peterborough Festival Of Antiques, Friday 26th & Saturday 27th March 2010.

This antiques event takes place at the East of England Showground at Peterborough. There is generally plenty of parking and facilities tend to be decent. On offer you’ll find a range of items from small collectables, china, glass, ceramics to furniture, pictures and silver. Housed within marquees, buildings, sheds and outside there’s plenty to wander around!

The antique fair opens at 7am on Friday to early Trade when admission is £10. General public is admitted from 10am till 4.30pm on the Friday and from 9am till 4.30pm on Saturday. Admission is £5 during these times.

As with all antique events it’s always wise to check with the organiser before you travel – occasionally events do have to be cancelled.

  1. My wife and I visited on Friday and I would like to say how decidedly underwhelmed we were with the event.
The title “Festival of Antiques” suggests a quality event which this most certainly was not.
Stalls selling modern paperback books, cheap modern jewellery (£2 an item)and “pop” items could be found in both main halls. These items could hardly be termed as collectables let alone antiques.
Compared to the previous event last year this one was a return to the bad old days of 10 years ago.
I had been informed by a reputable dealer that things had improved. Not if last weekend was anything to go by.
